MOP is teaming up with Fun Pasta Fundraising this year and we hope you will join in the fun!

What is Fun Pasta?
Fun Pasta is pasta shaped like the holidays, sports, collegiate team logos, and more.  There is something for everyone to enjoy!

Picture
Our personal favorite...
How can you help?
SHARE our Fun Pasta website with neighbors, friends, and co-workers AND PURCHASE pasta from one of our orchestra students. Every sale helps support our group and gets us closer to our goal.  The products are healthy, fun, and affordable – and make great gifts, too!

If you purchase pasta through the brochure (ask one of our orchestra students for a copy!) - MOP gets 50% of the profits! Out-of-town relatives and friends can also order directly from the website!  40% of these sales go directly to us! (excludes shipping cost). There is a flat rate shipping charge of $6.95, but they ship within a couple of days, and our relatives can easily support our group!

And remember: Brochure Orders and Money Collection Envelopes are due September 22nd. Online orders will be accepted through October.

MANY THANKS FOR HELPING US REACH OUR GOAL! If you have any questions, contact us!

March is Music In Our Schools Month!

Music programs nationwide are in danger. State and local legislators are attempting to make up for funding shortfalls in this difficult economy by cutting education budgets, which can place  music at risk. Music In Our Schools Month – March 2013 – is a perfect time to get involved and do your part to ensure that America’s students have access to a comprehensive, sequential music education taught by exemplary music educators!

On Tuesday November 27, 2012 charities, families, businesses and individuals are coming together to transform the way people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season.

Everyone has heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  Giving Tuesday was in direct response to the biggest shopping days of the year.  As you know, Music Opportunity Program (MOP) donors and volunteers are very gracious in their support of the work being done.

Take a moment and donate to MOP during Giving Tuesday. You are positively impacting a child's life with your donation.  Donations can be made through the MOP website for your convenience. Thank you so much for your support and dedication!

Sponsorships still available

This morning, the Music Opportunity Program (MOP) received a very kind gift from Mrs. Jane Monette Hinds to sponsor a youth orchestra rehearsal.  MOP extends the warmest thanks to Mrs. Hinds for her generosity!  We recognized Mrs. Hinds' generosity on the front page of MOP's website because it is an extraordinary gesture to support local youth musicians.

Sponsoring a youth orchestra rehearsal is a wonderful way to support MOP.  By sponsoring a rehearsal, the rehearsal is named after you, you are featured on MOP's website, Facebook, and Twitter.

Sponsorships are an effective way to support students who are eager to learn string instruments and participate in youth orchestras.  If you are interested in supporting MOP with a rehearsal sponsorship, or an individual student, please call Michele Robertson at 205-231-9509 or email: [email protected]
